We provide an in-house NAS box (Network Attached Storage) where your data is backed up from your server or workstations at pre-determined times throughout the day. During this process the data is automatically encrypted just in case you, or a member of staff inadvertently activate one of these Ransomware type viruses which can infect your system disguised as a genuine email or by following a link to an infected website. These types of viruses cannot access an encrypted backup unlike other attached USB hard drives, thumb drives or un-encrypted NAS boxes where the viruses will actively search out and delete any data it finds including Shadow copies from Servers.
Should the worst happen, having the NAS box on the same network, we can easily restore any lost data in a matter of minutes from the most recent backup.
As a belt and braces solution we also perform another encrypted backup to a Cloud -datacentre at night so should everything be lost due to a fire, theft or other natural disaster completely destroying your entire network, we can restore from this backup to a new server or virtual server and have you up and running in as shorter time as possible.
